I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Management. Additionally, I am a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 candidate with expertise in financial modeling, risk analysis, and corporate finance.
I am a Financial Analyst with expertise in investment analysis, corporate finance, and strategic financial planning. My career has been driven by a passion for numbers, problem-solving, and understanding how businesses create value. I specialize in financial modeling, market research, and risk assessment, helping organizations make informed financial decisions that drive long-term success.
Beyond my technical skills, I enjoy mentoring and sharing knowledge with aspiring finance professionals. I understand the challenges of starting a career in commerce, and I believe that guidance and real-world insights can make a significant difference. That’s why I am passionate about mentorship, helping others build confidence in their skills and navigate their career paths.
Outside of work, I stay up-to-date with market trends, investment strategies, and emerging financial technologies. I’m also an advocate for continuous learning and professional growth, always looking for ways to expand my knowledge and help others do the same.
My career journey in finance and investment analysis began with a strong foundation in financial management and corporate strategy. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, I started as a junior financial analyst, where I gained hands-on experience in financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment research. This role allowed me to develop a deep understanding of market trends, company valuations, and portfolio management.
As I progressed, I took on more responsibilities, moving into investment advisory and corporate finance. I worked on analyzing financial statements, identifying investment opportunities, and providing strategic recommendations to businesses and investors. During this time, I pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Management and advanced my skills in data-driven financial decision-making.
Currently, as a Financial Analyst, I specialize in evaluating business performance, conducting market research, and helping organizations make informed financial decisions. I’m also a CFA Level 2 candidate, which has deepened my expertise in financial analysis, portfolio management, and ethical investing.
Through my career, I’ve learned that finance is not just about numbers—it’s about strategic thinking, problem-solving, and staying ahead of market trends
My mentorship approach is practical, personalized, and growth-focused. I believe that every mentee has unique strengths and career goals, so I tailor my guidance to their specific needs.
I start by understanding the mentee’s aspirations, whether it’s breaking into finance, mastering financial modeling, or exploring career options in commerce. From there, I provide real-world insights, practical advice, and hands-on learning opportunities to help them build confidence and make informed decisions.
I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and industry awareness, guiding mentees through financial concepts, investment strategies, and career development strategies. Whether through long-term mentorship or one-time career advice, I offer a flexible and supportive environment where mentees feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.
Ultimately, my goal is to equip mentees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in their careers while fostering a mindset of continuous learning and professional growth.
I am open to mentoring both high school learners and university students, as I believe that career guidance is valuable at every stage. For high school learners, I can provide insights into career paths in finance and commerce, helping them understand their options before choosing a degree. For university students, I focus on practical industry knowledge, skill development, and career preparation, including financial modeling, investment analysis, and job market readiness.
I offer flexible mentorship, whether through ongoing guidance for those who want long-term support or one-time career advice for those with specific questions. My preference is to work with mentees who are curious, proactive, and eager to learn, as I believe mentorship is most effective when both mentor and mentee are actively engaged in the process.
I am available for virtual mentorship sessions during the following times:
Weekdays: Evenings, from 6 PM to 8 PM
Saturdays: 10 AM to 2 PM
Sundays: 12 PM to 4 PM
I understand that schedules can vary, so I am flexible and open to adjusting my availability if needed. Mentees can reach out in advance to arrange a suitable time.
I signed up as a mentor because I believe in giving back and helping aspiring finance professionals navigate their career paths. Throughout my journey, I’ve benefited from the guidance of mentors who helped shape my career, and I want to do the same for others.
Finance and commerce can be complex and competitive, and I know that having the right guidance early on can make a big difference. Whether it’s helping a mentee understand career options, develop industry-relevant skills, or prepare for job opportunities, I want to share my knowledge and experiences to make their journey smoother.
Through the VX Mentorship Program, I hope to provide practical advice, career insights, and encouragement, empowering mentees to make informed decisions and build successful careers.
