I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing from Red & Yellow Creative School of Business. I’m also certified in Google Analytics, HubSpot Content Marketing, and as a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP).

About me

I’m a Marketing Manager with a deep passion for both the creative and analytical sides of marketing. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, from small startups to large enterprises, developing marketing strategies that drive growth. I specialize in digital marketing, with expertise in areas like SEO, content marketing, social media, and analytics. I believe in the power of data to inform decisions and the importance of storytelling to connect with audiences.

In my personal life, I enjoy reading, exploring new technologies, and traveling to get new perspectives on culture and creativity. I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning, always seeking opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Helping others succeed, whether through mentorship or collaboration, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

My career journey

My career journey began after I graduated with a degree in marketing, where I was immediately drawn to the world of digital marketing. I started in a junior marketing role, focusing on content creation and social media management. This helped me understand the power of storytelling and how essential a strong online presence is for businesses.

As I gained experience, I moved into more strategic roles, where I started leading teams and developing marketing campaigns that integrated both traditional and digital approaches. Over time, I specialized in areas like SEO, data analytics, and performance-driven content marketing. I found my passion for data and its role in crafting targeted marketing strategies that truly resonate with audiences.

Today, I’m in a leadership position where I guide a team of marketers, helping them develop campaigns that align with business goals and leverage the latest digital trends. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in an ever-evolving industry. Each step has shaped me into a well-rounded marketer, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead to keep growing and supporting others along the way.

My mentorship approach

My mentorship approach is centered on flexibility, real-world advice, and creating a supportive environment for growth. I focus on understanding my mentee’s career aspirations and challenges, providing practical, actionable insights that they can apply directly to their careers. Whether it’s long-term mentorship or short-term guidance, I adapt to the mentee’s needs and availability. I emphasize critical thinking and problem-solving to help mentees build confidence and tackle challenges. Above all, I encourage continuous learning and adaptability, believing that a commitment to growth is key to long-term success. Through this approach, I aim to contribute meaningfully to the VX Mentorship Program, supporting the next generation in shaping their careers.

My mentorship preference

My mentorship preference is to provide flexible, virtual mentorship that is tailored to the unique needs of each mentee. I am indifferent when it comes to whether I mentor high school learners or university students, as long as they are eager to learn and grow. I am open to both long-term relationships where I can guide mentees throughout their journey, and short-term interactions where I offer advice on specific career-related challenges. I value mentees who are proactive and take ownership of their learning, but I’m always available to offer guidance and support when needed. The most important aspect is creating a dynamic, supportive space for open communication and growth, regardless of the level or stage of the mentee’s career journey.

My availability

I am available for virtual mentorship sessions during the following times:

Weekdays: Evenings, from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Weekends: Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM and Sundays from 12 PM to 4 PM.

If these times don’t work, I am flexible and can accommodate other schedules with prior notice. I understand that everyone has different commitments, so I’m happy to find a time that suits both of us.

Why I want to be a mentor

I’ve signed up to be a mentor because I’m passionate about giving back and helping others succeed in their careers. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to receive guidance and support, and I want to share my experiences and knowledge to help others navigate their own paths. I believe that mentorship is an opportunity to empower others, especially those just starting their careers, by providing practical advice and helping them build confidence in their decisions. Being part of the VX Mentorship Program allows me to contribute to a supportive community that fosters career growth, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be part of someone’s journey to success.
